I'm originally from Brownsville, Texas and have two siblings. I left Brownsville for school and to seek new opportunities for personnel growth. I graduated third in my class of 519 students. I was president of the National Honor Society and was the varsity swim captain my senior year of high school. As president of the National Honor Society, I attended community events and fundraisers in addition to organizing some of them. I am a theater and dance major with an emphasis in acting at UT Austin. Growing up I was also very involved in my local community theater. I was part of a directorial team that teaches summer musical theater workshops for the past six years to children of the community. It was there that I got to know so many amazing children and found out that I enjoy working with them tremendously. While directing, we not only taught children about theater and how to put on a musical and play, but also helped them develop social skills that will be useful for them in their futures. I look forward to my experiences with Mommy Mixer and to further expand my skills working with children.
