About MommyMixer®

Frazzled moms, rejoice. Founded in Austin, Texas in 2003, MommyMixer® is a boutique service that connects busy families in need of help with high-quality college students. It was love at first sight when moms around the nation heard of and experienced MommyMixer®'s fantabulous babysitting network events. And now online, moms can review a number of candidates and log off with an A+ list of potential household helpers™.

MommyMixer® is exclusive and only offers a limited number of coveted slots in each city for both families and helpers. Costing just $30 per month for families ($5 per month for sitters - yes, they need skin the game too!), you can search a fabulous rolodex of sitters 24/7. $5 of each family's fee will go directly to The Miracle Foundation.

Best of all, MommyMixer® online holds both household helpers™ and families accountable via their very original pinwheel ratings system called The "Rules". The "Rules" will give you guidelines (click here to peak) on rating your helper or family and will hold all parties involved accountable to MommyMixer® standards. That’s right, we’re putting proactive back into household help™ as we want only the best on MommyMixer® and in your homes!

MommyMixer® will be there at all hours of the day to help you find you a perfect fit for your household. With your monthly subscription, you’ll be able to search listings of household helpers™ whenever you need an extra hand. You’ll get to know our candidates through their detailed profiles and find the perfect fit for your family day or night. Whether you’re looking for a bilingual tutor, a photo organizer or a soccer star sitter, you’ll find each helper’s experience, availability and talents all in one place. Admission to the ever famous (and usually sold out) mixers will be complimentary with a four month subscription to the site. MommyMixer® online has no crazy contracts or registration fees. It is super simple, you are in or you are out. Although, there might be a waitlist if you wait too long :) At the end of the day, MommyMixer® will do backflips to find you exactly what you need - if we can't, we are always happy to refund your fee.

Mary Sullivan Cooper

We like to say she was our first MommyMixer® sitter. While attending college at the University of Texas, Mary Sullivan Cooper babysat steadily for a growing Austin family with twins and an older sibling. While around town with the kids, she was constantly approached by desperate moms and dads in search of vibrant sitters just like her.

Upon graduation, Mary produced events and worked in brand advertising for Dell Computer Corporation, but the image of frustrated families in search of babysitters never quite left her mind. In May, 2003, Mary left her day job to create the ultimate sitter solution.

Mary recognized that she needed to offer an event that would be time efficient for the busy schedules of families and college students and also combine the good old-fashioned value found in face-to-face meetings. She knew the key was to hold exclusive mixers that allowed moms and sitters to spend one hour networking in high-end boutiques and hip locations around town. Before she knew, long lines formed and moms and sitters had to be turned away. She knew she had to grow the company all while growing her own family.

Now, as a mommy to Mattie Jack, Ellie, Caroline and baby Sam (go ahead and count 'em again, that is FOUR! kids), Mary is VERY much on the mom side of the fence! She has a real understanding of the importance of having quality babysitters available a few hours every day or to provide the much needed weekly date night, and her personal experience has helped her to make MommyMixer® the super fun success that it is today.
